Job Description:

Leggett & Platt - is looking for a - Maintenance Mechanic for the Ontario, CA facility. -The primary responsibility of this position is concerned with repair, modification, and development assistance on tasks assigned. Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in Industrial mechanical troubleshooting and repair. Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, mechanical drives, conveyors, and welding are required. All candidates must be able to successfully pass a forklift and manlift operator test at branch level. You also must be able to comply with mandatory overtime requirements and all other mandatory instructions as required by business needs. - -QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have good Math and English skills (verbal & written).Must be able to work well with others.Must have the ability to work overtime when necessary.Must have the ability to accurately read standard measuring instruments.Must be detailed oriented and well organized.Must have ability to work in a safe and consistent manner.Must have basic blueprint reading and schematics reading knowledge.Must be able to lift weights of up to 50 pounds.PRIMARY DUTIES:The primary duties of the employee are (but not limited to) the following:

Troubleshoot and repair equipment faults.Perform scheduled preventative maintenance.Install and maintain new equipment as directed.Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner.Facilitate maintenance activities efficiently around production when possible.Comply with company policies, rules, and regulations.Adhere to safety, EEOC and OSHA policies.The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in a light industrial production setting.
