Summary: The Account Executive / Category Analyst increases DPI
sales by facilitating, prospecting, and marketing perishable and
dry products to customer buyers and managers. This includes
monitoring inventory and customer performance related to products,
items, promotions and sales; communication of all facets of

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive product sales at customer sites.
Analyze current market trends utilizing syndicated data and ad hoc
reports for all categories to evaluate and make recommendations for

Direct vendor interactions in an effort to stay ahead of any and
all market trends. Obtain information via meetings, trade shows,
and from retail market visits.
Operate personal vehicle to travel to/from customer locations
throughout assigned territory.
Attend training and meetings in accordance with DPI standards.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: A bachelor's degree is preferred,
along with 3-5 years of sales related experience (distribution,

Work Environment: The work environment is typically indoors at
customer sites. There is exposure to weather when traveling and
getting in and out of the vehicle.
Work Hours: The work schedule is 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.
Initial start time may vary, with work hours typically from
8am-5pm. Work hours and shifts are subject to change depending on
operating business conditions and needs. The employee may be
required to work overtime and holidays or weekends. Overnight
travel may be required.
Physical and Mental Demands: Light. Exerting up to 20 pounds of
force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently, to lift,
carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human
body. Light work involves frequent sitting, but may involve walking
or standing for significant periods of time.
