Job DescriptionInventory Specialist Job Summary:The Inventory
Specialist has the primary responsibility of maintaining accurate
inventory levels, handling all inventory related issues from start
to finish and works on ensuring that optimal inventory is present
and ready for sale.Supervisory Responsibilities:
- NoneDuties/Responsibilities:
- Maintains inventory cycle count and physical inventory
programs
- Investigates and corrects discrepancies within the Warehouse
Management System; track errors, identifies discrepancies, and
preforms root cause analysis for continual improvement
initiatives.
- Ensures that inventory counts are completed regularly and in a
timely manner.
- Audits the facility's entire inventory on a regular basis and
provides reports to management.
- Counts and reconciles randomly chosen part numbers and/or
locations
- Ensures min/max stock levels are maintained.
- Assists in developing solutions to specific problem areas.
- Compiles, verifies and reports periodic statistical information
to management regarding trends in customer escalations.
- Educate and coach team on all processes and procedures that
affect the inventory control.
- Maintain inbound receiving.
- Maintain a neat and orderly warehouse that is compliant with
all Company guidelines.
- Take initiative and ownership over all aspects of inventory
management including partnering with Warehouse Manager to assist in
the team's development and understanding of all inventory
processes.
- Maintain all racks. Replace pallets when damaged, remove
pallets with no inventory on them. Remove hanging plastic wrap from
pallets.
- Support the organizations metric goals and
objectives.Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years inventory control experience
- Excellent computer skills required & able to learn systems
quickly
- Must have excellent audit skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Needs to be organized and detail oriented
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Possess the energy and drive to accomplish goals, meet
deadlines and find solutions
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
