responsible for ordering new vehicles based upon consumer demand
and for overseeing vehicle inventory. S/He arranges dealer orders
and buyer locates, or a purchase or vehicle trade with another new
car dealer. The Inventory Specialist is responsible for knowing
where each vehicle is located. S/He keeps track of which cars are
sold, pending delivery, transferred to another dealer, at another
location, currently driven by a customer or used as a loaner or
demo car.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain proper inventory levels, while focusing on core
inventory
- Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures
- Inspect the levels of business supply and demand
- Ensure stock is adequate to cover customer demand
- Works closely with GM and GSM on current and future inventory
needs
- Open/create PDI Repair orders
- Photograph inventory cars as neededQUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of dealership operations and automotive products
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license
- High school diploma or general education degree
- Detail-oriented
