Job Description:

This Maintenance Mechanic role is an 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm) entry level technician position from Sunday through Thursday. The person identified for this position will have opportunity to learn additional skills and move up within the organization based their ambitions. This position will be primarily responsible for general interior and exterior facility maintenance working independently and with a team. Someone that will be successful in this role will need to be able to work without much monitoring, respond to customer calls in a timely manner and resolving request that come up. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.
  • Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
  • General interior maintenance - hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems and repair doors.
  • Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment and/or as directed
  • Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested
  • Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts
  • Minor plumbing repairs
  • Completes special tasks that include but are not limited to; painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned.
  • This position requires some on call for after-hours emergencies.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
  • Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Documents work performance and materials procurement as directed.
  • Other assigned operational tasks as may be typically expected of the Maintenance Mechanic role.Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • Position requires frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving.
    • Position requires excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
    • Candidate will be provided with tools required to perform assigned work scope.
    • Ability to comply with both Jones Lang LaSalle and client-directed Policies & Procedures.
    • Successful candidate must be a self-motivated individual who can work independently or in a team environment.
