    Your Future Role:
    • Arrive to work in a timely manner and ready to work at start of shift
    • Maintain professional composure and treat all employees with respect
    • Understand and interpret engineers' drawings
    • Select and use tooling required for specific jobs
    • Competently set-up and operate conventional and CNC milling machines and lathes
    • Select and use proper measuring tools
    • Complete quality inspections of all completed work
    • Organize assigned tasks for efficiency
    • Create and use jigs and fixtures as required
    • Conduct preventative maintenance of all machines
    • Maintain tooling and report damaged equipment
    • Complete tasks within tight timelines
    • Maintain a clean and orderly work station
    • Consistently collaborate with Shop Management and Engineering departments to improve TMG products
    • Wear assigned PPE at all times
    • Report any unsafe equipment or environments
    • Follow proper ergonomic lifting and postures
    • Fully understand WHIMIS
    • Work within the rules and regulations of OSHA
    • Achieve a balance of function and esthetics of finished products
    • Interpret geometric tolerance with application to machining operations
    • Ensure machining is completed to drawing specifications
    • Report any non-conforming parts to shop supervisor
    • Active membership in Continuous Improvement Program
    • Contribute suggestions for ease of machining and manufacture
    • Maintain notes for future improvement
    • Identify opportunities for cost reduction in material or labour

      Requirements
      • You have a get it done attitude and are skilled at removing barriers
      • You operate with a team spirit, not with ego; you want everyone, including yourself, to do their best work; you see your success as dependent on the success of the team
      • You have the ability to think beyond the needs of the customer to point out errors and potential issues
      • You are able to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, cope effectively with complexity and change, quickly understand and absorb new information and respond appropriately
      • You are a straight shooter who gets to the point and can clearly communicate in both oral and written form
      • Demonstrated experience with one off/job shop atmosphere
      • Red Seal CNC Machinist
      • Enjoys setting up and completing machining jobs from start to finish
      • Previous experience CNC programming an asset
