Encorr Sheets LLC is a Newly Built Corrugated Sheet Feeder Paper Plant located in Ontario, California. We are the one of the two 132" BHS Corrugator in the United States. Our State of the art facility with automated equipment with the latest technology puts us in advantage over our competitors. Since we began our 1st production in March 2017, we have grown significantly and we will continue to grow in all aspects of our business.

POSITION SUMMARY:The Wet End Lead position monitors all aspects of the wet end of the corrugator to ensure rolls of proper size, grade, and quality are correctly loaded to produce quality corrugator sheets. This position requires extensive knowledge of the Wet End of the machine.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:

  • Follow all safety and company policies and procedures including maintaining good housekeeping, reporting any issues, accidents or incidents immediately; must complete online safety training each month as assigned.
  • Knowledge and understanding of all paper grades.
  • Must be able to follow/adjust the line-up and ensure there is enough of the correct size/grade of paper for run.
  • Responsible for all Roll preparation. Make sure all roll stands are full and ready for next paper change.
  • Complete machine calibrations and starch tests; check heat setting, adjust as needed.
  • Load and operate roll stands and splicers.
  • Assist and / or Operate Module Facer and manage roll stock with competence.
  • Verify proper adhesive is in the machine, making any necessary adjustment as needed.
  • Maintain communication with Wet End and Dry End of corrugator to ensure quality of product.
  • Make sure web and bottom liner are matched up tightly to allow for proper trim.
  • Make adjustments on double backer glue unit, triple stack, and Webtrol.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of work area, equipment and tools for the job.
  • Be able to look at all aspects of the Wet End including train new operators, and knowledge of how to send and return starch from storage tanks.
  • Follow all established SOP's as well as newly introduced SOP's.
  • Regularly check and replace all core plus in out-going rolls (butts), check for accuracy of roll ID for inventory, report any inaccuracies.
  • Immediately report any equipment that is not functioning properly.
  • Setup proper heating settings and monitor heat readings.
  • Follow job rotation allowing operators to take breaks.
  • Assist Production Supervisor to meet Wet End shift goals and take responsibility of meeting the productivity, waste, splices, stops, and quality goals. Ability to lead Wet End team.
  • Attendance must be exemplary at all times. Must be able to work flexible hours and/or extended hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
    REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
    • Must be 18.
      PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
      • GED or high school diploma.
      • Corrugated experience.
        REQUIRED SKILLS (TECHNICAL, CLERICAL, LANGUAGE, ETC.)
        • Good communication skills.
        • Basic math skills and must be able to read a tape measure.
        • Must have computer skills.
          PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
          • Constant standing, talking, hearing, walking; frequent stooping and bending, twisting, turning, maintaining balance; occasional kneeling and reaching over the shoulder; also required simple grasping, pushing and pulling; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception and peripheral vision.
            WORK ENVIRONMENT
            While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
