Job Description:

The Mechanic performs the removal and replacement of various motor coach parts.


  • Perform diagnosis, removal and replacement of various motor coach parts:
  • diesel engines
  • drive line components, including transmissions, drive shafts and differentials
  • engine and body accessories, including heating and air conditioning components, alternators/generators, voltage regulators, suspension components
  • braking systems
  • electrical systems and components
  • seating, steering components and glass installations


  • Minimum 3-5 years related experience
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (with air brake and passenger endorsements)
  • Must furnish all small hand tools required to perform the functions specified above. Generally, this includes all tools at and below a " drive level
  • Must be proficient in welding equipment, diagnostic devices (including DDEC and ATEC readers), A/C (Freon) recovery and charging equipment, and shop equipment (including hydraulic presses and rams, pullers, manometers, tachometers, decelerometers, VOA instruments, dial indicators, micrometers, reamers, hones, vacuum and compression pumps, brake lathes and other shop power tools)
  • Must be able to perform responsibilities with no supervision
