Job Description:

You will be part of the The Process Engineering team that enables and delivers all battery-related matters in the LEGO group.Do you want to be part of the global team that brings battery technology into the LEGO group? Participate in the selection of new battery suppliers (compare manufacturing processes and products)

  • Responsible for reporting battery process improvement and optimization.
  • Carry out and coordinate Process Quality and Yield improvement activities.
  • Work closely with the various LEGO battery suppliers and drive, track, and reports progress.
  • Troubleshoot and solve quality-related problems through analysis and observation using statistical tools.
  • Develop and execute application test plans based on customer contracts and deliverables.
  • Maintain 5S: clean, safe, and organized working environments.
  • Analyzing production results and data for root cause analysis (LSS, 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, etc).
  • Conduct Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) for production prototypes and equipment.
  • Supports on-site installation of prototype, pilot and production equipment.Core ResponsibilitiesThe mission is to engineer and develop robust battery solutions for our internal and external manufacturing sites when it fit to our production frames. In this specific case we know there is capabilities we want to build up on an external Manufacturing platform (PEM) and here the mission is to design/engineer, source, plan and deliver new and existing batteries to the LEGO Group in expected quality through global 3rd party design & manufacturing network partners. The role manages stakeholders to secure outstanding product quality that meets LEGO Quality and Product Safety Standards, and on-time delivery. Play your part in our team succeeding- Bachelor's degree or above in a Engineering-related field or equivalent working experience.
  • At least 5 years working experience in a similar position in the lithium battery industry (large lithium battery company).
  • Proven understanding of BOMs, manufacturability, process design, process validation, assembly methods, design reviews, and cost reduction methodologies.
  • Excels in lithium battery manufacturing process and control requirements, test procedures, international standards, and certified agency requirements applicable to rechargeable lithium battery products.
  • Applying quality tools and their application to the production of lithium batteries including statistical analysis of performance results (e.g., JMP, Python, R, MATLAB,6SIGMA, MINITAB etc.), process capabilities, and design of experiments.
  • Ability to comprehend, communicate and make complex design trade-offs.
  • Knowledge of large production lines & automatizations , DF-x, PFMEAs, and process controls.
  • Clear logical international thinking, good at communication, a strong sense of responsibility, and team spirit.
  • Flexible to effectively work remotely from base, self-manage, handle priorities, and execute multiple projects.
  • Keeping himself up-dated about new developments in battery technology and production.
  • Familiar with lithium battery design, soft pack and cylinder battery process is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Time Studies, Line Balancing, Lean Manufacturing, Bottleneck Analysis.

You will be on a journey to help move the products towards an architecture with clearer bounded contexts, a more robust, scalable and high fault tolerance solution as well as ensure the highest standards of security and data privacy requirements.

It is important to API-enable the products for a broader usage within the LEGO digital ecosystem. Therefore, great engineering practice in code quality, documentations and contribution to the LEGO API communities are highly necessary.

We run our current solution on Amazon Web Services, and we value highly on operation efficiency. Part of your job also includes cloud configuration and automate our build/deployment pipeline.
