Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Complies with and stays abreast of all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job.
  • Provide, present and promote The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.
  • Manage the growth and profitability objectives of the department as presented in the Bank's Financial Plan.
  • Negotiate construction loans with existing and potential customers.
  • Assist officer staff with loan negotiations/structuring.
  • Prepare Report of Credit Extended to appropriate approving authority.

  • Manage sales activities of the department's personnel to ensure appropriate productivity and effectiveness as growth objective are achieved.
  • Participate in calling activities with department personnel and branch associates.
  • Conduct sales meetings.
  • Review progress of associates in relationship to goals.
  • Documents and reports sales activity.

  • Manage the department's personnel within the policies, guidelines and procedures established by the Bank.
  • Review credit presentations prepared by department personnel.
  • Review/approve disbursement requests.

  • Manage the department to ensure all operating and lending policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to. Operating losses will be managed to a minimum level.
  • The quality and management of the department's loan portfolio will be within the Bank standards and guidelines.
  • Review/prepare applicable reports
  • Address/correct deficiencies
  • Closely monitor problems credits

  • Support the Bank's community activities to achieve growth objective and to ensure that the bank's CRA policies and objective are achieved.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises employees in the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
