This position is not eligible for visa sponsorshipFort Settlement Services, LLC--is a national title insurance agency supporting our lender clients with residential refinance and purchase transactions in various states throughout the country. The Escrow Assistant I (EA I) is responsible for assisting the Escrow Officer in processing of refi and purchase escrow transactions and is committed to providing excellent customer service. The (EA I) will work in a "paperless" office and thrive in an environment where flexibility is part of the culture and the pace is fast. This position will work on a national refi desk therefore the (EA I) must be familiar with the various state regulations regarding deeds, closing and disbursement.Responsibilities and Duties-- Review loan documents to determine closing requirements; assemble, prepare required title/escrow closing documents and reviewing closing documents to ensure accuracy between title and lender documents.-- Obtain clear title by resolving title defects; contacting existing lien holders to obtain payoff demands, subordinations and releases.-- Prepare ALTA Settlement Statements based on lender instructions.-- Monitor electronic queues for task assignments.-- Ability to work in a team environment with various departments.-- Provides a very high level of customer service to all parties involved in the transaction.-- Maintain communication with the Escrow Officer and other team members.-- Ability to work overtime as required.Qualifications-- High School diploma or equivalent, required, Bachelor's degree preferred.-- At least 1 year of direct escrow experience preferred. National closing experience preferred-- Experience with MS Office including Word and Excel is required.-- Strong written and verbal skills to effectively communicate and present at all levels,-- Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively prioritize and execute in a fast-paced environment.-- High level of demonstrated customer service, and time management skills.-- Ability to read and interpret documents such as underwriting guideline matrix, lender's instructions, trust agreements and preliminary title reports/commitments.-- Exposure to Escrow Closings on a National Basis, preferred but not required.-- Exposure to high volume, paperless office environment required.-- Ability to handle high volume refinance accounts required.?Benefits* Fort Settlement Services, LLC--our benefits package includes: comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability, and 401(k).
