This position will be based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Managing
a team of service-oriented sales professionals, the Sales Director
will be responsible for meeting or exceeding targets through the
retention and growth of existing customers and growing the network
through the acquisition of new customers. Reporting to the Head of
Growth, this sales leadership position will also act as the voice
of the customer, gathering and understanding customers’ needs and
communicating this to the rest of the business including product,
operations, and marketing, allowing us to constantly tune our
offering, value proposition and go-to-market strategy. This is a
high touch, hands-on sales management role where scenario based
sales training will be a critical success factor.

Recruit, train and develop a sales team with diverse backgrounds
Develop sales pitches and processes to achieve optimum sales
Develop predictive and actionable KPIs to manage targets.
Develop specific strategies to retain existing business and grow
payment volume through upselling existing customers and driving
network growth through new counter parties.
Support the successful onboarding of new initiator and counter
party accounts, providing support to onboarding team, account
managers and customer contacts.
Manage a third party outsource relationship between Veem and new
counter parties to drive efficient implementation, premium
servicing and upsell opportunities.
Implement processes to ensure focus on delivering value and
Complete all reporting requirements accurately and on time as
Adhere to all Veem policies & procedures including compliance
and governance related matters.
Build strong internal relationships with all departments across
Veem to enhance and deliver exceptional service.
Provide input to and support the Head of Growth in their role as
they drive accelerated network growth through sales and
Minimum 5 years sales management experience.
Successful track record in value-based selling and consistently
Experience in a high growth sales environment with demanding
Success building teams and managing to continued success.
Proven ability to increase per account revenue through direct
Ability to think strategically and turn strategies into
actionable plans to quickly identify revenue and network growth
Proven strength and leadership with sales, client management and
onboarding of customers.
KPI based management to target with proven ability to leverage
data for accurate forecasting.
Ability to build strong relationships with and management of
Ability to drive innovation and change within the client’s
organization as well as within Veem.
General business knowledge and an awareness of
business-to-business payment options.
Proven ability to understand competitive offerings and value
Excellent audience aware verbal and written business
Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and understanding of
technology in the industry.
