HEPARIN COATING PROCESS ASSISTANCE

ONTARIO, CA

WE ARE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE KEEN TO TRY SOMETHING NEW:

- Performs all duties in compliance with all required QCSOP s
- Assists with loading and unloading the lenses from fixtures.
- Assists in the weighing and recording of the batch formulations.
- Stage and document work orders assigned to batch records.
- Assists with the plasma treatment on lenses. Assists with verifying the power output during test run.
- Assists with organizing and maintaining the trace-ability for multiple work orders within the batch.
- Collect samples for batch testing.
- Legibly record accurate processing parameters.
- Maintain completed batch records and periodically forward them to QA for archiving.
- Assists with revising and improving process documents as needed.
- Assists with preparing and maintaining supplies of 15% Ethyl Alcohol, Blocking Fluid and periodically dispose of used Heparin Coating Solutions as needed.
- Assists with maintaining inventories of various process supplies and order chemicals when necessary.
- Performs duties in compliance with ISO9001, EN46001 and GMP requirements.
Other duties may be assigned, such as: performing lens production operations and helping support special projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one-year college experience with laboratory training in a Science degree (Chemistry preferably) or a minimum of 6 months experience in the Heparin Coating Process.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets technical procedures. Ability to write reports and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables; Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form as well as Material Safety Datasheets; Must be able to multi-task.
