Come join our team Job Description: Working from our corporate office in Ontario, California, the Human Resources Coordinator is primarily responsible for facilitating the human resources processes. This role administers daily functions of the Human Resources Department and acts as main point of contact for employee inquires and policy interpretation. This role provides administrative support to the human resources function as needed, including interviewing, hiring recommendations, investigations, benefits and leave administration, record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. Report to and working under direction of the Head of Human Resources. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Responsibilities: -- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. -- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and familiarity with employment law. -- Serves as main point of contact for all employee requests and inquiries and monitors HR email box and responds accordingly -- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. -- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. -- Assist with full cycle recruitment, scheduling interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. -- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications. -- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files. -- Implements new hire orientation and onboarding new hires into HRIS system and prepare new employee personnel files -- Administer employee recognition programs -- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, reward and recognition; occupational health and safety; and training and development. -- Assist with the administration of health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. -- Processes required documents through payroll to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions. -- Monitor internal attendance calendar. -- Works closely with internal payroll to submit payroll information, identify payroll discrepancies, review timecards and process time card corrections -- Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: -- Bachelor---s degree in human resources or related field/ and or equivalent experience. -- At least two years related experience required. -- SHRM-CP or PHR preferred. -- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. -- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. -- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. -- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions. -- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team -- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite -- Familiar with HRMS/HRIS systems Majestic Home Loan, established in 1997 in the State of California, is a non-bank lender that originates purchase loans for one to four unit residences and refinance mortgages to consolidate debt, finance home improvements, education and other needs.
