Job Description:
We are actively seeking a compassionate mental health therapist
for our clinic who is committed to therapeutic excellence for our
patients. You will be responsible for doing diagnostic assessments,
making customized treatment plans with goals and objectives,
providing crisis intervention as needed, and following up with
patients to ensure they are receiving appropriate ongoing care. The
ideal candidate will have clinical experience working with mental
health patients as well as a current LMHC (licensed mental health

Responsibilities:
Offer community resources or specialists to patients and family
members who are experiencing difficulties
Determine the status of patients mental health by using medical
information, interviews, observation, and testing, as well as
collaboration with other staff members
Monitor each patient situation on a frequent basis and offer the
appropriate follow-up care
Provide crisis intervention as needed
Work with patients to develop individualized treatment plans with
goals and objectives
Qualifications:
Requires CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications
High school diploma or GED and a bachelor's degree in counseling,
social work, or equivalent; masters degree preferred
State licensure that is current, unrestricted, and in good standing
for a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) or equivalent
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical ability as well as
outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are needed
A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting working
as a mental health therapist
--- Licensed with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
--- Possess a master's degree in Social Work or Marriage Family
Therapy
--- Knowledge and basic skills in counseling practices and
methods
--- Ability to plan, implement, evaluate and report activities
conducted
--- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and to prepare
written and electronic documents
--- Ability to communicate orally, both in person and by
telephone
--- Ability to establish rapport with others is a requisite for
healthy and therapeutic relationships
--- Ability to be both consistent and flexible as circumstances
warrant
--- Ability to effectively weigh and evaluate personal needs,
client needs, and the aims and policies of the agency and to
respond and negotiate these competing needs as appropriate
--- Ability to remain calm and supportive in psychological
emergencies and/or crises
