SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Director, Associate Degree Nursing acts as a liaison with the faculty and students in providing Simulation, Skills, and Science lab services to fulfill the needs of the nursing curriculum. Responsible for coordinating the use of the Simulation lab to assist the nursing students in critical thinking and applying theory to clinical. Responsible for the updating and maintenance of the simulation, skills and science labs. Develops and implements plans, policies and procedures for the labs. Maintains the appropriate inventory for the nursing laboratories and schedules lab practice. Assists science faculty in preparing for lab sessions to ensure necessary supplies are available. KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Medical surgical or critical care experience preferred. Prior experience in working with high-fidelity simulation devices preferred EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent required. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college which shall include courses in nursing, or in natural, behavioral or social sciences relevant to nursing practice. A master's or higher degree from an accredited college or university which includes course work in nursing, education or administration preferred. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Current unencumbered California Registered Nurse License preferred. Current CPR and ACLS cards preferred.ABOUT US
