Job Summary:The role of Senior Manager of Park Attraction Maintenance / Engineering Services is a senior level position that is part of the Engineering Services / maintenance leadership team of the Disney parks. You will be a leader of leaders, and you will report to an executive within Facilities and Operations Services (FOS) at the Disneyland Resort.Responsibilities:Leading the team:

The manager leads an organization of salaried leaders and hourly technicians that are both highly skilled and diversified. This teams range in size from 60 to 225 people (depending on the area) and the annual operating budget ranges from $8M to over $15M. The safety of the cast and guest is the manager's first priority, including fostering a positive atmosphere that is inclusive and welcoming. The position requires a person to be nimble in thought and execution, they must be effective in leadership, management, technical aptitude and have strong relationship skills. To be successful, a manager must be able to provide the team with a vision and inspire them to achieve it. They will also have a strong understanding of the day-to-day operation and dive in where necessary to help manage the detail. They are required to execute multiple priorities on a daily basis and must be able to "switch gears" quickly.Managing the assets:

The manager is responsible for maintaining the physical integrity, reliability and show quality of the physical assets within their area of responsibility, in this case the attractions and associated equipment in either the Disneyland or Disney California Adventure theme parks. In addition to leading the Engineering Services team towards this objective, the manager must effectively manage their financials to meet targets, leverage internal resources and external contractors, and execute a variety of projects."A day in the life of-"

As a senior leader, you set vision and priorities for the organization and invest your time based on a combination of data, past experience, and intuition. It should be stressed that a manager must flex between "flying high" and "diving into the weeds" as needed- there is no "typical day" for this position. A successful manager will thrive in a fast paced environment with ever changing demands. At the same time, they keep their eye on the vision they set for the organization and constantly move their team in that direction. The Disneyland Resort has operations that are ongoing 24/7 and 365 days of the year. As such, the manager's responsibilities will require them to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.Basic Qualifications:You Have:

  • 10 or more years of technical experience in related field such as maintenance or manufacturing
  • 5 or more years of leadership experience
  • Demonstrated strong business and technical knowledge.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interface with all levels of organization
  • Ability to access equipment pits, work platforms, cat walks, roofs and similar areas via ladderPreferred Qualifications:
    • 10 or more years of leadership and technical experience in related fieldRequired Education
      • AS degree in technical field of study or 5 or more years of experience in related fieldPreferred Education
        • BS degree in technical field of study
