Overview The Director of Education & Training is responsible for
developing, executing, and managing the overall education and
training program using Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
methodologies. Director will work in collaboration with plant
administrators, to ensure consistency and standardization of TPM
best practices and tools, along with other pillars, such as AM, PM,
FI, and EM.
Develop a strategy and program tools such as skill matrix and
learning cards to clarify gaps between expected roles and skills
required in the process at each plant.
Create strategy and manage the system for the training plan in
cooperation with each Pillar in OSS (Operation Strategy and
Support) and plant administrators.
Build a system to evaluate training results and make the STPD cycle
The scope of the program is (1) Leadership (General
Managers/Managers/Supervisors), (2) Specialized Task
(Mechanical/Safety/Quality) (3) Field operations (Line
control/Sanitation/Staff work) at the plant.
Identify and diagnose any site-level barriers (capabilities,
behaviors, resources) to successful implementation of best
practices and expected performance, and partner with site
leadership to develop corrective plans, influencing, coaching,
teaching, and routines
Coach manufacturing department leadership on integration of
operations excellence tools including following the best practice
Facilitate training and improvement activities with leadership and
Develop dashboards to visualize the progress of program
implementation at each plant and appropriately manage progress.
Evaluate the surplus or shortage of human resources in program
implementation and respond appropriately.
Carry out human resource development for administrators at each
plant to maximize their capabilities.
Administrators at each plant report to the E&T pillar leader
via dotted line.
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or related field
with Master's degree in technical field or MBA preferred
8+ years in Manufacturing with experience as an Operations Leader
Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively
communicate with leadership at the plant and drive toward the
Experience successfully identifying, adopting and leading change
initiatives and gaining alignment
Understanding of organizational impacts that result from changes in
business processes and technologies
Experience in leading organizational change and establishing an
E&T function in a manufacturing environment
Leadership and execution of improvement activities at varying
Experience in development and delivery of technical training
Experience Leading an organization in a TPM or Lean Environment
Experience in coaching TPM or Lean methodologies
Demonstrated leadership and management skills; ability to motivate,
develop, and inspire others
Range of pay - $185,000 to $195,000 w/30% bonus
