Job Description Job Description We are a General Contractor seeking an experienced, self-motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team. Our ideal candidate is highly organized with a strong ability to multi-task and experience/knowledge of the construction industry. Candidates must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Procore is a plus. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Examine drawings and specifications for job requirements, quantity takeoff and pricing. · Perform material and systems take off as required. · Draft bid scopes of work and final buy-out scopes of work. · Solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers, set up scope and prepare bid documents/forms. · Examine existing conditions and attend pre-bid meeting. · Compile estimates, rough order of magnitude budgets, cost-benefit analysis, constructability reviews, and engage in value analysis. · Assist with determination of schedule. · Coordinate project buyout and hand off to Project Management Team. · Coordinate scope reviews with subcontractors and provide subcontractor recommendations based upon these reviews. · Search for and qualify potential new Subcontractors, suppliers, methods, equipment, etc. for competitive advantages. · Work collaboratively with project team to ensure positive results. · Utilize On-Screen Take Off, Excel, Procore, and all other estimating systems utilized by the company. · We are looking for self-motivated and organized team members who enjoy working in a collaborative environment. QUALIFICATIONS: · 5 years experience in construction estimating. · Able to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates. · Strong understanding of hospitality or healthcare construction help, but not required. · Proficiency with Procore, MS Word and Excel. · Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines. · Impeccable problem-solving skills.
