Acquired by National General in just over 18 months from inception, Transparent.ly continues to enjoy explosive revenue growth in insurance verticals in 2020 and 2021. We now have over 30 team members and we are interested in hiring passionate and exceptionally talented people to join our team.

Primary Purpose:
The Transparent.ly Paid Media Analyst will analyze the performance of our online advertising campaigns, helping with optimizations, testing, setup, and website monetization. This person must love working with large sets of data. The Paid Media Analyst must be able to identify trends, patterns, and insights that help the broader group make better media buying and ad-serving decisions. As we continue to experience significant growth, opportunities for advancement will be available for candidates who demonstrate success in this role. Transparent.ly is a real-time click bidding platform that allows advertisers to precisely bid for consumers with our ad technology. The platform enables websites to monetize their consumer traffic in insurance, mortgage and higher education by showing highly relevant ads to consumers. Transparent.ly has launched websites in the auto, home and life insurance verticals driving traffic to these sites with Google paid search traffic. Individual must be an experienced digital media buyer to help expand the paid search marketing to current sites, launch sites in additional sites and verticals, and add in additional media sources such as Facebook and Social.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Solve complex analytical problems using data
Extreme facility with numbers
Capable of identifying patterns from large amounts of data. Sees forest through the trees
Intuitively notices something unexpected in the data, pushes themselves to seek the answer of what could explain it.
Present findings to management
Help advertisers and website publishers optimize advertising campaigns by joining client data with internal data to identify trends and patterns to make bidding optimizations based on those insights.
Analyze and optimize the performance of search campaigns in Google and Bing
Make bid changes within the media buy platform, whether Transparent.ly's, Google's or Bing's
Independently come up with ideas to improve performance and profitability
Comfort in solving problems. Can be given high level direction or goal (e.g., "Improve the monetization of this campaign"). Can break the problem down into what affects the outcome and can identify how to increase what is working well, while reducing what is not working well.
Seeks opportunities to contribute, learn and take on new responsibilities.
Articulate in explaining a problem, describing an approach for a solution and using data to confirm or disprove the approach.
Proven ability to juggle multiple projects at any one time with little direction.
Relentless attention and focus on the detail.

Minimum Skills and Competencies:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Bachelor Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
1+ years of analytical experience in online marketing
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Expertise in managing paid media in at least one of the following verticals: auto insurance, home insurance, or life insurance
Successful experience in using Google Ads to make bid changes and access data for analysis
Skilled in using the Google Ads editor
Must possess a highly quantitative aptitude
Ability to independently come up with the solution to difficult analytical problems
Highly articulate when discussing complex subject matter
Possess the ability to articulate a problem, describe an approach for a solution and use data to confirm or disprove the approach
Proven ability to juggle multiple projects at any one time with little direction
Relentless attention and focus on the details
Expert in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, SUMIF's, manipulating data with text-to-columns, concatenations, etc.)

Desired Skills:
Bachelor Degree in a quantitative major
Previous experience in the insurance or mortgage industry
Thorough understanding of marketing concepts, such as customer acquisition, and financial concepts, such as gross profit and margin
High quantitative aptitude
Two years of business experience in an analytical role.
BS in quantitative major preferred. High GPA
High facility with excel (comfortable with pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs, manipulating data with text-to-columns, concatenations).
Familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools (QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, Kibana, or Google Data Studio)
Understanding of marketing concepts, such as customer acquisition, profit
